Wednesday Sewing Club 5-6pm
Our Wednesday sewing club runs weekly from 5-6pm
This session is for children who can already sew on a machine reasonably well, managing threading and straight lines on their own, and are looking to further their skills and create more challenging and interesting projects.
Our classes are designed for small groups commonly known as sewcial circles. They offer children an opportunity to learn new life skills, make friends and escape from the pressures of school and sport commitments and just be free to be creative in making things. The Session aims to increase machine sewing skills and gain confidence using the machine. We sew a variety of different projects putting these skills into practise. From toys and softies, bedroom decor, clothing and accessories, these weekly sessions will keep young sewists inspired.
Most materials included. (we may offer children an opportunity to explore fabrics and go out and choose their own special fabric to create a bespoke project during the term). Sewing Machines provided.
Note to parents: when booking, please provide me with your child’s age, ability and brief summary of what they know / can sew. All the classes are carefully put together to ensure that each child can get maximum attention and attain projects most relevant to their needs.
(If you have your own machine, we recommend that you bring it along, as practising on it will maximise your confidence and prove most helpful when sewing alone at home)
Starts wc 12 September . Spaces limited.
October Half term break – no classes during this 2 week half term
**please note when booking: in the event of another spike & re-closure of “non essential shops”, our studio will continue to run classes via Zoom.
What our parents say:
“I just want to say how much my daughter is loving your sessions and coming home with such fabulous pieces each week, she was so thrilled with her quilt today I can’t tell you!”
