Fiona Harvey

Owner of The Crafthouse, Mum, Designer & teacher of sewing and craftiness to children of all ages!

After years spent in media running high profile events, Fiona started searching for alternatives that would combine her love of creative practise and children, and provide her own children with an outlet to free their creative spirits - something that would bridge the gap between work and home and readdress the balance of life! Sewing & crafting since childhood, Fiona headed back to 'school' completing her studies at The London College of Fashion & Textile Design as well as a masterclass in printing. She has since been commissioned to run craft - based events for The Affordable Art Fair, Channel 4, The London Transport Museum, Merlin Entertainment, Historic Royal Palaces, Richmond Theatre and Kew Gardens and as well as teaching several classes each week in her own studio, Fiona also teaches in schools and colleges across London. When she's not running workshops or sharing her contagious love of making with children & adults alike, Fiona works as a textile artist on a range of works for her Etsy shop site or one can find her sipping a cuppa whilst walking the dogs in Richmond Park, dreaming up the next project to be made of course!
