Saturday Sewing Club : 9-10am
Starts wc 12 September
This sewing course offers children from 7 years to 12 years an opportunity to learn to sew, gain confidence on the machine, gain great sewing skills and sew a variety of different projects putting these skills into practise.
Gain confidence in threading the machine, winding on bobbin, understanding functionality, how to sew straight lines, curves, corners whilst creating a range of projects including a softie, an item of clothing and a choice of bedroom accessories.
Our classes are designed for small groups commonly known as sewcial circles. They offer children an opportunity to learn new life skills, make friends and escape from the pressures of school and sport commitments and just be free to be creative in making things. This 9 week session aims to increase machine sewing skills and gain confidence using the machine. We sew a variety of different projects putting these skills into practise. From toys and softies, bedroom decor, clothing and accessories.
All materials included. Machines provided.
Note to parents: when booking, please provide me with your child’s age, ability and brief summary of what they know / can sew. All the classes are carefully put together to ensure that each child can get maximum attention and attain projects most relevant to their needs.
(If you have your own machine, we recommend that you bring it along, as practising on it will maximise your confidence and prove most helpful when sewing alone at home)
Please note there are no replacement or make up classes for missed sessions in this course so please try and attend each week to get the most out of our time together.
No classes during October half term
**please note when booking: in the event of a second spike & re-closure of “non essential shops”, our studio will continue to run classes via Zoom.
What our parents say:
