This 3 day Summer School workshop is perfect for all teens who have finished exams (finally!) and want to try something different, to relax, get creative and maybe share a few days with friends enjoying mindful making.
Day 1: Choose your designs from a selection of garments. You can sew a hoodie, a dress, skirt or shorts- something useable for the summer ahead!
What you’ll learn:
– how to measure yourself correctly
– types of fabrics
– functionality and full confident use of the sewing machine
– understanding patterns
– cutting skills : use a rotary cutter if you prefer
– sew a completed garment
Day 2: Finish off any sewing on our garments if needed. Then we begin on a fabulous backpack using webbing, D-rings and a zip pocket.
Day 3: Finish off any sewing on your backpack. Then we start on a selection of accessories. Choose what to sew and we’ll finish the course with a minimum of three brilliant projects to take away.
