Adult Improvers Course

For those who would like to follow on from the beginners course, or if you have some sewing knowledge but want to extend your skills this is the perfect course for you.

Dates include:

19, 26 April and 3, 10 May 10-1pm

What you’ll learn 

Week 1:  Zips : Choose from a combination tote/backpack or a double zip tote.  Fully lined & seamless with zip pockets, using fusible interfacing.

Week 2: Quilting & bias binding : use your walking foot to add wadding and quilt your own padded iPad case with coordinating binding.

Week 3: Buttonholes & piping : Add piping to a cushion cover before creating three button hole closures.

Week 4: Sewing Curves : sew a drawstring makeup bag

What you need to bring 

For the first session you will need to bring  a metre of non directional print medium weight cotton and zips, depending on your choice of project.  We will be in touch after booking to discuss this with you. .
During the first lesson, we will confirm requirements for future weeks.

What’s provided 

We provide expert tuition, threads and machines, tools, notions, cushion pads, fusible interfacing  and patterns to take home, tea/coffee & biscuits.

All our classes maintain small groups so that each person can receive optimal attention and the studio offers a very friendly and relaxed environment in which to learn.

Please note that all our classes are non refundable so please check carefully before booking.
You are welcome to bring your own sewing machine provided that it is UK electrically compliant.
